Elder Gallery
 Artist Submission Guidelines

Elder Gallery welcomes submissions from professional artists who live outside the Charlotte area. (A gallery policy prevents us from representing artists who live in close proximity to the gallery.) To be considered for representation by our gallery please adhere to the following criteria. Information can be sent either by email or by standard US Mail:

Step One:

  • Complete Bio or resume

  • Images of your work, preferably JPEG via email; CDs and/or photographs via regular mail will be accepted. We prefer not to accept slides.

  • Complete descriptions of each work to include size, medium, date of completion, and retail price.

  • List of any other gallery representation.

  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough to return your materials. If no return envelope is included we will assume you do not wish to have your materials returned to you.

Step Two:

  • Your materials will be reviewed in a timely fashion. We do not adhere to a particular timeframe in which to review submissions. We do our best to promptly review the materials and then respond.

  • Do not send actual artwork until asked to do so. If we feel that your work might be appropriate for our marketplace then we will contact you via email or telephone to ask for an opportunity to review your work in person.

  • If we do not choose your work for representation we will notify you via email and/or standard mail if you have provided an envelope for the return of your materials.

Step Three:

If your work is chosen for representation by our gallery you will be required to sign an “Artist Consignment Agreement” which outlines roles and responsibilities of the artist as well as the gallery. We seek unique relationships with our artists and feel it important that each party understands what is expected from them.

Elder Gallery does not exhibit reproductions nor do we encourage our artists to allow their work to be reproduced.
Our business is based upon relationships. We value the relationships that we have with our artists and do our best to professionally promote their work. We realize that the success of our business begins with having exceptional, original artwork available for our customers. Without our artists we don’t have a business.
