Franklin Sinanan
Not for the Faint of Heart

There are times when you have to take a leap of faith.  Our time has come.  Elder Gallery presents its first solo exhibition of paintings by Franklin Sinanan whose work depicts current events in our world.  Not since the 1960s have we seen such frank, almost brutally honest, messages from one artist.  Sinanan possesses a unique talent that arouses strong emotion from those who view his work.

Franklin Sinanan’s work has been called “visual language”. He appears to be a sensitive man but one with guts and courage. His visual depictions of world events are bold and graphic. He often uses primitive icons and text to convey his poignant messages. In a world of over-abundant political correctness his work is a time capsule of our current world and everything is considered fair game.

We project notoriety for this exciting young artist who is already capturing the attention of serious art collectors in Canada and the United States. He is a smart artist whose work challenges the viewer.
